July 28, 2012

Bobby Lynn and Barry Rinard jumped out front in the opening laps of
the Port City Racing Pro Stock feature, with Rinard looked high and
then low as he tried to take the top spot away from the veteran driver
to no avail.

Feature Winner Pro Stocks - July 28, 2012Playter took advantage of a Rinard bobble to move to second and immediately began to look under Lynn. A caution bunched the
field but Lynn jumped back out front. Playter and Rinard touched as they tried to haul in Lynn and several cars went spinning into the infield, sending both drivers to the rear and Playter in the top spot. Once under green, Chaney Newland had moved to third followed by Vern Buskirk and Jake Headley. Lynn moved to the lead again but Newland moved to second and then slid under Lynn for the lead with Playter, Buskirk, and Lynn running three wide but Playter tangled with Buskirk and they spun. The final green saw Newland take the win over Buskirk, Headley, Marty Sowles, Rinard, Lynn, Mike Husted, Todd Bush, Playter, Jr. and Blake Hollenbeck. Rinard and Buskirk went home with heat wins.
