Nice Night-Good Racing!!

Mitchell Hunt won his very first IMCA Mod feature in his rookie year. The Pro Truck win went to Andrew Fidler. Kevin Rohn Jr scored the Flinn Stock event and Nate Jones cruised to the Pro Stock event. Kyle Borgman won in the Late Model feature and Will Stanley eked out the win in the Street Stocks.

Now... Lesson #738 in "Why you Don't Believe Everything You Read on FaceBook." No more than five minutes after the IMCA feature was over, I was getting messages telling me that Mitchell Hunt had refused a claim. When I began to get official paperwork from the track well after the race was done, that fact wasn't borne out in the materials I was getting. It was late so I left an "unofficial" note about it here but I needed to get it straight. I journeyed to the track late this morning to verify exactly what had happened. Turns out that the people who had messaged me were LYING. Imagine that. Young Mr. Hunt honored his claim and did so willingly. I have known the Hunt family for a long time which is why none of this made sense. The reason I bring this up here is because I wanted to set the record straight. I've done this website since its inception and I've always tried to get the truth out. As long as I do this website, that will continue to be the case. Thanks for your time.

Our "R Word" list has topped out at over 1800 people so far. It has come to my attention that some of you did not get an email notification of the last couple rain offs despite asking to be added. A bit of research is showing me that I may have too many people on the list (over 1800 now) and Google decides who gets emails and who doesn't. To this end, I am breaking up the old list and making a second list to augment the first. If you did not get an email after signing up, please send me a new request and I'll add your name to the new list to make sure you get notified. Thanks. Let's get get the 'lost' home again! You can join our "R Word" list by sending an email or TEXTING to this email address: This email address is being protected from spambots. There was a modification to the rules concerning transponders. While it was changed in the rules, I failed to post here it here. This rule was modified April 21st, 2015. It says: "18. Transponders must be mounted on the right side and the back of rear axle and in an orange transponder pouch. If your transponder falls off you may not be scored and you will be responsible for replacing the transponder.Any racer caught trying to modify or deliberately changing location of transponder will be disqualified."  Check with your tech inspector if you have questions.

The 2015 rules packages are here: LATE MODEL, IMCA, PRO STOCK, STREET STOCK, and the GENERAL CMS RULES. The 2015 SCHEDULE IS HERE.

You can reach me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. as you have been able to reach me since this site started back in 1993. I have or can get you the honest answer far more often than you can get it on FaceBook. You may find this hard to believe but not everything you read on FB is true.

For those that intend to have minors entering the pits, here is the minor release form to have pre-filled out. PLEASE NOTE! "Legal" people say you need to do one of two things. Fill it out and have it notarized or fill it out but don't sign it until you are at the track so track officials can countersign it. Other forms will be posted here shortly.

July 21, 2012

History is an odd thing… and so is destiny.

Feature Winner Pro Trucks - July 21, 2012
INSERT BODY TEXT

July 21, 2004, Kesha Griffin, 14 year old daughter of Pro Truck driver Bob Griffin, was killed in a tragic car accident. Every year since, Bob has run a self sponsored special where his family gives money to a division payout in honor of Kesha. She was a huge race fan and supporter of the Street Stocks in particular. In the seven special events prior to this year, Bob has managed to win several of these races, much to the approval of an appreciative fan base.

Last year on July 21st, another 14 year old race fan, Brandon Rummer, was killed while riding his bike. Bob added Brandon to his memorial of Kesha this year. He started fourth in the Engine Pro Pro Truck feature, a division that has been dominated in points by three other drivers: Ashlee Scott, Dave Peters, and Tim Wood.  With the drop of the green, Griffin quickly motored to the lead with only Gaven Parks within reach. He opened up a sizeable lead but that evaporated during a caution.

Once back to racing, Griffin pulled away with Parks riding shotgun on his tail while the rest of the field battled for position. With the
white flag in the air, Parks mounted one last charge but nothing was
to stop destiny as Griffin pocketed his second consecutive “The Sky is the Limit” race. Parks came home second, followed by Wood, Peters, Mike Seaman, Scott, Ryan Paradise, Tim Sooy, Chris DeCamp, and Don Prout. Griffin and Prout also won heats. The points leaders are Scott, Peters, and Wood.
