Photo Trophies Available Again. Got a favorite car and driver?

Why not purchase a 'Photo Trophy' and get it
personalized with a signature? We started this service from the photo booth last year and everybody really likes them. We have
designs for about 20 of the drivers so far, and will be adding another six or so each week for the next several weeks. Some
of the designs feature manufacturer or model badging, others are storms, flags, and flags. If you want a custom design,
drop your written request at the photo booth and we can have it next week. We
currently have designs in stock for these drivers:
See you at the track next week.
June 9 Results
After a week of rain, racing resumed at Crystal Motor Speedway Saturday night. A large crowd was on had to watch the six normal divisions, the MORA Sprints race, a special 'steeple' race involving local pastors, and the announcement that track owner/promoter Ron Flinn had been voted into the Michigan Motor Sports Hall of Fame.
Promoter Ron Flinn/Flagman Ryan Flinn
Flinn has been active in area racing for decades, starting with the Ionia Fairgrounds racetrack through buying the Crystal
Motor Speedway back in 1990. Flinn was speechless when he was told about the honor on the front stretch prior to the
evenings racing. In typical fashion, he placed his success due to his family and those who worked for him
throughout the years.
The MORA Sprint race was won by Matt Johnston and the 'Faster Pastor' steeple race was taken by Brad Kooiker in one of the fan favorite races of the season.

Gavin Parks took advantage of Cody Ordway's bad luck when Ordway lost a front tire and took home his very first feature
win. Ordway had firm control of the race but a flat took him out of contention as the race wound down. Parks took full
advantage of the problem and finished his strong run with the win. Parks was followed by Larry Bulson, Nick
Messner, Arik Holtzlander, Joe Nieman, Kyle Shattuck, Kelly Hamilton,
Jr., Tyler Brillhart, Ordway, and Jordan Sherlock.
Kent Strong and Troy Hollis took heat wins.

Fowler, Borton Move From Rear To Take Top Spots
The Engine Pro IMCA Modifieds was nearly a repeat of the Late Model race as "Smiling" Joey Fowler overtook Josh Borton in
the last set of turns to claim his third trip to the wincers circle. Borton had run a great race as he picked his way to
the front, taking the lead from Chad Wernette. Fowler came from a row deeper in the field and had to battle a hard
charging Brennan Bowen to get to Borton as the last couple laps began to approach. Fowler positioned himself perfectly to
take the win away Borton in the last lap. Bowen took home a third place finish, followed by Rob Brillhart, Wernette, Oscar Rulapaugh,
Jr., Randy Ruesink, Luke Olger, Chad Burke and Dan Wiggins II.
Buzz Lawrence and Jerry Pace took B main honors while heat gold was awarded to Borton, Brillhart, Myron DeYoung, and Bowen.
Seaver Missed By Inches -
Pos Driver & Car # / Points
The Late Model feature was another episode in the continuing saga of great racing. Rusty Seaver had worked his way forward
from the sixth row and took the lead about half way into the event. A bit further back, Zach Olger took the green from the
eighth row and soon was tailing Seaver. Both racers were able to weave in and around traffic as they volleyed for the lead.
With two laps to go, Seaver appeared to have the win in his back pocket but Olger rallied hard and as the checkered flag
fell, it took about 30 seconds to make the decision that Olger had taken the win by about five inches. The crowd was on
its feet cheering the two drivers for a furious but very cleanly driven race.

Mandoka Leads First Half - Fades To Fourth
Pro Stock action ended the evening with another torrid battle between Vern Buskirk and Jeff Reist. Both racers had worked
their way from deep in the field. Greg Mandoka had lead much of the first half of the race, fighting off advances from
Kevin Rohn but Buskirk and Reist came flying up through the field, leaving them fighting for third. Reist
could almost catch Buskirk in the corners but Buskirk could pull away down the straights. Both drivers fought hard but
clean as they thrilled the fans with their torrid fight. Buskirk made a cleaner run coming out of turn four for the win
over Reist, Rohn, Mandoka, Barry
Rinard, Todd Bush, Richard Buerge, Andy Hoisington, Tim Cogswell, and
Bob Griffin.
Rohn, Mandoka, and Mike Corder all claimed heat wins.

Raby, Charles Perry, and Jacob Headley.
Neiman took the heat win.

Street Stock action saw another race come right down to the wire as Mike Vandermark beat J.R. Schmid out of turn four to
take the win. Schmid had led most of the event but Vandermark had come from deep in the field to begin to challenge about
mid way. Derrick Dennis and Bryan Craigmyle exchanged blows as the next set of drivers battling right behind the leaders.
Vandermark took the win with Schmid second, followed by Craigmyle, Dennis, Al Kiester, Bill Mullins, Dan Minikey
Jr., Steve Buskirk, Gary Buskirk, and Ryan Kent.
Vandermark and Schmid
each also brought home heat wins.
