| It takes time to put together a weekly magazine - regardless of the fact it is printed on paper or posted electronically. Saturday night track results are usually fully updated by Monday afternoon. Special features, such as weekend events on Sunday or a Monday holiday will be available on the following Wednesday. |

June 30 Results
Saturday night at Crystal Motor Speedway was one of those nights that happen about every two or three years. There were wrecks and crashed as always but the unusual thing was that virtually no one came out unscathed and nearly everyone was involved. A number of top points contenders left the track on the wrong end of a wrecker hook with a lot of work to do before Tuesday's big July 3rd event.

Flinn Stock Class Standings
*Tie for position
The Flinn Stocks are the smallest sized car run at the track and thus it was only fitting their crashes were a bit
smaller. A number of cars left the battlefield with some major scars but it was quite the show. Joe Nieman lead most of
the early race and he battled off several charges from behind him to keep that lead but the division points leader,
Cody Ordway, has been hard to hold back all season. With just a couple laps left, Ordway came to the front and finally
wrested the lead away and went on to score another feature win. Nieman had to settle for second, followed by Jeff Orkisz,
Larry Bulson, Harley Farkle, Kyle Shattuck, Gavin Parks, Leonard Lach, Kent Strong, and Trevor Sloan.
Jordan Sherlock and Bulson took heat wins.

DeYoung Wins Feature -
Veteran Anticipated Crash and Moved To Miss It
The Engine Pro IMCA Modified feature was a wrecker driver's delight, including the "big one" everyone always worries about
at Talledega. Jason Borton had a good run going as he took the early lead. Roger Flinn had also mounted an excellent steed
and began to make his way to the front to challenge Borton. As they came down the front stretch, they made contact and
Flinn spun and slammed into the front retaining wall. He was unhurt but unable to continue.
Once underway again, it was a HUGE battle for the lead with Don Proctor, Borton, Randy Ruesink, Brad Roberts, Toby Steele,
Myron DeYoung all in the lead pack when something snapped in one of the cars sending him spinning,
resulting in about ten cars piled up on the front stretch. DeYoung later said he saw it developing and he had moved low
just as it occurred and was the only lead pack car not tangled in the mess.
With the carnage removed, DeYoung took the
green and never looked back as he added another win to his stat book, followed by Gary VanderMark,
Jeramie Raby, Jerry Pace, Carl Thayer, Chad Maurer, Luke Olger, Benjamin Nieman, Greg Wiles, and Dan Wiggins II.
Olger and Proctor won B Mains while heat gold went to Steele, Nieman, Rob Newman, and Wiles.
Andersen Gets First LM Feature Win
Pos Driver & Car # / Points
Jay Van Dyke took off like a rocket in the Late Model feature as the rest of the field battled and crashed behind him.
Zach Olger, Chris Rinard, Rick Stout, Rusty Seaver, and Mark Andersen were running in the after wave of Van Dyke's night
train ride and they put on quite a show as they sliced and diced for positions. Andersen had climbed to
second when Van Dyke came out of turn four and suddenly ended up against the water barrels and the wall. He was unable to
continue and Andersen inherited the lead with about seven to go. With the crowd of top contenders hot on his tail, the new
leader had to settle in and buckle down as Rinard and Stout took aim on him. Andersen was able to hold on and grab his
very first Late Model feature over a very tough crowd. Stout was second, followed by Rinard, Olger, Seaver, Brock
Cogswell, Scott Baker, Ryan VanderVeen, Jim Fairbanks, and Paul
Tucker.
Vanderveen also took the B Main event while Rinard, Olger, and Fairbanks chalked up heat wins.
Zach Olger took the B Main and also scored a heat win as did Curt Mesman and Cogswell.

Ugly, Ugly - Many DNF's at top of points ladder
The Pro Stocks apparently listened to all the crashing fun and decided to try it themselves. Bob Griffin took the point
early with Kevin Rohn and Greg Mandoka tight behind. The trouble began in second lap as one car spun in heavy traffic
coming into turn four and the resulting chain reaction saw points contenders Vern Buskirk, Jeff Reist, Chaney
Newland, Mike Husted, Todd Bush, Mike Corder, and several others all chalk up a big nasty DNF. Once the field was clear
again, Griffin began his defense of the lead with Mandoka and Rohn scrapping at each other for second. A few cautions
later, Griffin escaped damage completely and chalked up his third feature win of the season. Rohn
brought home second, followed by Mandoka, Pete Hundey, Barry Rinard, Terry LaClear, Jon Willmore, Brett Hollenbeck, Scott Bouck and Calvin
Castle.
Reist, Mandoka, and Husted all grabbed heat wins.

Koons Clobbers Wall
Pro Truck Class Standings
*Tie for position
The Pro Trucks are normally the division that does most of the bumping and grinding but on this night, they behaved rather
well. There were a number of hard bumps and a couple occasional grinds but all in all, they were fairly tame compared to
the rest of the divisions. Chris Verhaar spent most of the night with Jamie McCormick hot on his tail
and Scott Nieman had his hands full of Aaron Raby as the front pack of Trucks roared about the track. Jerry Koons had a
feature winning effort going when he was got a small bump that sent him against the wall under the flag stand, ending his
night. Verhaar became the crème of the show and held off McCormick as he brought his machine to the
winners circle for the third time in 2007. McCormick ended a fine performance in second, followed by Nieman, Raby, Gary
Dancer, Charles Perry, Koons, Jacob Headley, Rodney Heikkila, and Tim Wood.
Koons
scored the heat win.

Rubbin Is Racin?
Street Stock Class Standings
*Tie for position
The Street Stocks were the final event of the evening but also had their own fireworks. Danna Rohn started off in good
fashion, holding back Steve Buskirk and Larry Kosloski for several laps before her machine suffered mechanical
problems, leaving Buskirk out front. JR Schmid and Dan Minikey joined the fun at the front pack along with Ryan Kent and
Mike Vandermark.
Positions were shuffled like a deck of cards as the laps wound down. With two to go, Buskirk was leading but had Schmid
hard on his tail and sending up frequent love taps as he tried to make his way around him. Vandermark worked his way to
third and was trying to make a move but couldn't find traction in the lower groove and he had to watch as
Schmid and Buskirk duked it out for the win. As they came through turns three and four for the final time, Schmid dove
under Buskirk, made contact and loosened the leader just enough to cause him to lift, allowing Schmid to collect his first
2007 feature win.
Minikey came up in the melee for second, followed by Vandermark, Buskirk, Kent,
Kosloski, Al Kiester, Mickey Carman, Jr., Lloyd Long, and Gary
Buskirk.
Schmid and Rohn took heat wins.

FEATURE WINNER - J.R. Schmid
