| It takes time to put together a weekly magazine - regardless of the fact it is printed on paper or posted electronically. Saturday night track results are usually fully updated by Monday afternoon. The Flinn Stocks had a familiar face in victory lane as Cody Ordway
extended his points lead by claiming victory in the feature event.
Harley Farkle came close but could only muster a second place finish
behind Ordway. Nick Messner was third followed by T-Bone Fellows and
Gavin Parks. Lumpy Stearns, Kyle Shattuck, Travis Corder, Emileigh
Neve, and Ryan Holtzlander completed the top ten.

Putt Gets Second Checker -
DeYoung Challenged ...
As always, the Engine Pro IMCA Modifieds put on a heck of a show. With
over 35 cars vying for 20 feature positions, the competition has been
extremely intense. It was Toby Steele and Robert Putt that brought a
tight bunch of open wheel competitors to the green flag. Robert Putt,
with the assistance of the high groove was able to jump out front and
never look back for the entire 20 lap affair. Myron DeYoung,
from mid-pack, had pulled along side of Putt many times but was unable
to make the move for the win. Putt picks up his second victory of his
career and second of the 2007 season. DeYoung wound up in the
runner-up spot followed by Buzz Lawrence, Gary Vandermark, and Carl
Thayer.
The remaining top ten were; Steele, Chad Wernette, Rusty
Ziegler, Greg Wiles, and point leader Joe Fowler. B-main accolades
went to Josh Borton and Wiles.
The heat races were won by Jimmy Hale, Vandermark, Randy Ruesink, and Putt.

Beats Tucker and Olger
Latel Model Class Standings
*Tie for position
Another first timer picked up the win in the Late Model division, but
he had to work his way to the front to take the victory. Rookies
Keith Gentz and Oscar Rulapaugh brought the field to the green flag
for the feature event. Rulapaugh experienced problems almost
immediately and brought out the fist caution. Once underway, Gentz
led the first handful of laps before last week's winner Carl Ries
grabbed the lead. He looked like he was on his way to back-to-back
victories when mechanical woes knocked him out of the event with less
that ten laps remaining. This put second place Ryan Vanderveen into
the lead.
At the end of the 30th lap, he was able to beat out Paul
Tucker to pick up his first ever feature win at Crystal Motor
Speedway. Following Tucker was Zack Olger, Brock Cogswell, and Jay
Van Dyke. Six through ten were Mark Anderson, Neil Siefker, Jack
Emmons, Jim Emmons, and Dean Huizenga.
The B-Main checkered went to
Van Dyke. Heat races were awarded to Olger, Brian Nickerson, and
Ries.

Husted Grabs First '07 Win
Griffen Falters With Problems
The Pro Stock feature was a barnburner. Bob Griffin was enroute to pick up his fourth win this season when a
faulty plug wire started to inhibit his motor from getting enough power. As the power
waned from the Griffin machine, Mike Husted was able to take advantage
of the situation to receive his first checkered flag of the 2007
racing season. He was challenged heavily by a surging Chaney Newland who was unable to get the momentum on the bottom
to make the pass.
Jeff Reist finished third, followed by Vern Buskirk, and Andy
Hoisington. The rest of the top ten was close with Griffin, Todd
Bush, Barry Rinard, Doug McKeown, and rookie Kevin Rohn.
Heats were
won by Griffin and McKeown.

CORRECTION:
In the write up submitted by Roger Williams, it gives the impression
that Mr Headley worked his way forward to win the feature, when in
fact he started on the pole and lead the entire race. After a
multitude of emails and calls from family, I am making this correction
and regret the previous story led some to believe he had to come up
through traffic to win. My apologies.

The Port City Pro Trucks kicked off the main events
with a highly competitive show. These drivers started off shaky at
the beginning of the season, but the past few nights, they have put on
some of the best racing of the evening. Chuck Perry and Gary Dancer
set the pace of the field for the early going of the 20 lap main
event, but it wasn't long before the complexion of the race would
change.
An incident on the front stretch sent out Chuck Perry and
left the battle for the rest of the field to settle.
Jacob Headley inherited the lead after working his way to the
front. He found the position to be tough as Aaron Raby was all over
the inside of Headley for the remaining few laps. At the end Headley
picked up his first feature victory of 2007. Raby finished
second, followed by Jamie McCormick, Dancer, and current points leader
and 2006 Champion Tim Wood.
Currently, Wood and McCormick are
separated by one point for the top spot in the point standings.
Chuck
Perry took the heat gold.

Keeps VanderMark In Second
Street Stock Class Standings
*Tie for position
The Street Stocks put on another great show and it also created a new
face in Victory lane for 2007. Bryan Craigmyle was able to stay out
of trouble and moved through the pack to pick up his first big payday
of the 2007 year. He held off ten-time feature winner
Mike Vandermark Jr for the win. They were followed across the line by
Ryan Kent's strong run, Mickey Carmen (who had led some of the event),
and rookie Corey Ruesink.
The rest of the top ten included; Jim
Sagryn, Al Keister, Larry Kosloski, Gary Buskirk, and Lloyd Long.
Heat race champions were Carmen and Craigmyle.
