It takes time to put together a weekly magazine - regardless of the fact it is printed on paper or posted electronically. Saturday night track results are usually fully updated by Monday afternoon. Special features, such as weekend events on Sunday or a Monday holiday will be available on the following Wednesday.

Next weekend a Labor day spectacular with the Sprints on Dirt a part of the action on Saturday night and the Outlaw Late Models on Sunday Night. Race time both nights is 7:30. Primitive camping available. Come spend the Holiday weekend with us at the Crystal Motor Speedway!!

Gates open at 5PM and racing begins at 7:30 PM. Adults admission to the grandstands is $10 and kids 5-11 are $4. Pit passes are $25. Further information can be obtained by calling the office at (989) 235-5200.

Another Big Labor Day Weekend

September 1 Results

The Labor Day weekend has always been a 'big deal' at Crystal Motor Speedway and this weekend was no different. Saturday night the SOD Sprints made their way to the Crystal clay for the third time this season with the same results. Dustin Daggett from nearby Portland started deep in the pack and then came charging forward to claim his third consecutive Crystal win this season.

Farkle Challenges But Ends With DNF


FEATURE WINNER - Cody Ordway

Saturdays feature saw veteran Harley Farkle give Ordway all the pressure he could handle as the two zigged and zagged through traffic with Farkle slowly reeling in the leader until he developed front end suspension problems and then had to be towed off the track. Ordway never let up for a moment and went on to his tenth feature win over Kyle Shattuck, Scott Kimball, Corey Holtzlander, Anthony Harper, Emileigh Neve, Logan Forist, Rich Stearns, Farkle, and Anthony Fellows.

Farkle and Ordway gathered heat wins.

Big, Bad, Brody Outruns Challengers


FEATURE WINNER - Brody Bowser

The IMCA Modifieds ran Saturday night but not Sunday to make room for the Outlaw Late Models and posted a new winner for the 2007 season. Brody Bowser out ran John McClure and a hard charging Jimmy Hale, Jr. to claim his first feature win at Crystal. McClure had been pressing the leader all race long and then Hale made his way through the pack but Bowser was able to hold on for the win. Rob Brillhart was fourth followed by Milt Montgomery, Randy Ruesink, Josh Borton, Buzz Lawrence, Joe Fowler, and Luke Olger.

Borton and Cliff Denman nailed B Mains with heats falling to Bowser, Montgomery, Olger, and McClure.


Husted Takes First Combined PT/PS Feature-
Sweeps It With Heat Win


FEATURE WINNER - Mike Husted

The Pro Stock and Pro Trucks ran together both nights this weekend and each division claimed a feature win. Saturday,Pro Stock driver Mike Husted dominated the event with an outstanding run to take his second 2007 feature over Chaney Newland, David Verhaar, Todd Bush, Tim Cogswell, Rodney Heikkila, Jeff Gibson, Jacob Headley, Kent Strong, and Derek Beagle.

Husted and Newland took heat gold.


Buskirk Breaks - Rohn Wins
Craigmyle Unable To Reach Top Spot


FEATURE WINNER - Kevin Rohn

Gary Buskirk ran a great race for the first five laps of the Street Stock event before blowing a motor as he dueled with Kevin Rohn for the lead. Rohn had just nudged out front when Buskirk's car lay down a trail of fluids and was off and flying. Bryan Craigmyle gave it a shot but was unable to reel in Rohn who posted his second consecutive weekly win. Bob McQueen was third, followed by Corey Ruesink, Bill Mullins, Mike Vandermark, Jr., Cody Denny, Ryan Kent, Jay Scott, and Jeremy Bowerman. Ruesink, Chuck Gilland, and Mullins all took home heat wins.
