Sunday night the Soaring Eagle Outlaw Late Models made the third leg of their Labor Day weekend at Crystal. David Hilliker had taken four events in a row dating back to last years Crystal event and was well on his way to taking the lead and a possible win when he was tagged and then went hard into the front stretch wall, unhurt but unable to continue. Wade Witherspoon took advantage of Hilliker's situation and went on to win his first series event over Matt Pickard, Matt Sprague, Adam Thrush, Joe Rokos, Mark Pifer, Scott Goyings, Ron Ramoie, Marv Burroughs, Dave Hadfield, Jr.

Terry Sroat and Robert Hardin took heat wins.

FEATURE WINNER - Cody Ordway

Cody Ordway proved it wasn't just the car that caused him to win all the events he was taken as he put his driving skills out in full display. Ordway established a lead early and then began to move through traffic, using every possible lane, moving high on the track for one pack, then low to pass another, and even splitting the middle seam of a pack of four cars as he came in for the win. He was followed by Gavin Parks, Harley Farkle, Ryan Harper, Kyle Shattuck, Corey Holtzlander, Dale Fellows, Logan Forist, Scott Kimball, and Anthony Fellows Despite the attention Ordway has drawn, the rest of the field has brought out some great racing as well, explaining why the Flinn Stock division is one of the fan favorite divisions.

FEATURE WINNER - Mark Andersen

Mark Andersen was hooked and flying. Andersen took the lead early and was able to motor away at will as he grabbed his second 2007 feature over Rich Robinson, Jr., Jim Russell, Brandon Thirlby, Jack Emmons, Jr., Bill McCormick, Tom Dusen, Lowell Webster, Jim Fairbanks, and Dean Huizenga.

Emmons and Dusen grabbed heat runs.

Third '07 Feature Ends Great Season For Truck Driver


FEATURE WINNER - David Verhaar

Pro Truck driver David Verhaar finish out his last career run with an impressive win as he grabbed his third feature of 2007. Verhaar had run a strong race the night before and continued that run Sunday as he battled with Newland for the lead. Newland kept up his pressure but slipped high off the track and had to retire for the evening. Verhaar went on to win over Jeff Gibson, Calvin Castle, Vern Buskirk, Todd Bush, Jeff Reist, Tim Wood, Rodney Heikkila, Tim Hansen, and Scott Bouck.

Castle bagged the B Main feature while heats were claimed by Reist, Doug McKeown, Sr., and Mike Husted.

Steve Buskirk and Loomis claimed heat events.
